That's where I listened to it (in Canada). It wasn't under her artist profile but it's there if you search for it. Album is K.T.S.E.
This Teyana Taylor album is awesome. It actually threw me off when I saw it's 8 song tracklisting (first song is just an intro). EDIT: I ended up making a thread for this - Teyana Taylor - K.T.S.E. (June 22, 2018)
Yea Teyona album is good, glad we could end the Wyoming Sessions on a high note. So basically every other album is worth it, Pusha to Kids See Ghosts to Teyona
Did not expect to love the Teyana album nearly this much, I haven't been into her past work at all. Production is fantastic and she sounds amazing over it
Really funny to me that The NY Times replaces any curses with “expletive” Also it makes a lot of sense that the entirety of Ye wasn’t created in eight days, from this interview it seems like only his own lyrics and verses were written/recorded in that time period. He quotes Louis CK oh god sure loves himself abusers
I think he quoted him purposefully. It seems like he’s challenging “cancel culture” using his mental illness as a counterpoint (“Louis CK has helped me cope with suicidal thoughts/Trump makes me believe I can do anything”)
Lots of bullshit in that interview. He refuses to challenge his initial “slavery [sounds like] a choice” claim because he thinks he was just misunderstood and he doesn’t want to have to justify himself to people mad over something he didn’t literally say. And sure he didn’t literally say the words “slavery was a choice”, but lots of people were upset because the idea he actually phrased was abhorrent and stupid and fucked up. The “Wouldn’t Leave” mentality is so fucked, too. He knows he’s got status where no matter what he does, he has considerable support. Instead of owning up and growing and changing he can just rest comfortably because he knows people won’t “leave” him. Plenty of art has helped with my depression and suicidal thoughts. Some of it was made by people who did horrible things. It’s healthy to work through that and actually assess your morals and values and try to live as close by them as you can. Trump is incompatible with the “love” Kanye professes to lead with. If Kanye loves Trump but doesn’t agree with all his policies, push him on that. You can’t support a President just because you like the way he talks, and that everyone told him he couldn’t be President and now he is President. Where is the love for immigrant babies kept in cages? I know this interview was conducted before that story broke as big as it did, but there are literally countless other communities Trump is violently oppressing. You don’t get to skate by if you’re a Trump supporter without answering for the actions that go along with his words. Kanye is an idiot fucking narcissist who is still clearly thoughtful but has stopped any thoughts of empathy past himself and his family. What a goddamn tool.
I'd love a Kanye/Chance 7 tracker. Maybe we can get a Future, Kendrick and/or Thug one too since he said he had 40 tracks done with each of them.
