all the ye reviews I’ve read have been about a lot of things except the actual music

that Pitchfork review has like 3 sentences on the actual music itself, for example

 

Honestly, I might’ve rather have heard his MAGA unity album or whatever. Maybe we would have gotten some more fleshed out stuff

OMG she's so friggin ignorant. Eminem's album also debuted at number 1 and I'm pretty sure had first week sales over 200k.

Also a hot take: if Revival followed the 7 song formula it woulda been an awesome album and more critically successful than Ye.

There was a Kevin Parker collab on that supposedly would love to have heard it

 

TMT is one of the few established websites that review different things or mainstream things with a different perspective IMO and I appreciate that even when I don’t agree with them

but it is not for everyone, I can understand that
