An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

I've enjoyed literally almost every track he's released up until now which is a real indication of how fucking lazy, entitled and half-baked this hamfished shit is

gonna leave the thread now, thanks for your time

You're kind of taking it out of context tbh.

He’s singing in No Mistakes with Charlie Wilson right? That’s the standout part of the album for me.

But yeah his verse in Ghost Town sounds like he’s being played in slow motion...and it wouldn’t surprise me if he is.

You tend to have a better ear than me, but I listened to "No Mistakes" again and enjoyed how Charlie and Cudi sound together. I also hear what you're saying on "Ghost Town" (especially flat on the first "me" of the chorus) but I find Cudi's singing imperfections to be compelling.

I like this though. I mean i see the reasons to dislike it, but there's genuinely good stuff here to me.

  10. What We Saw at Kanye’s Ye Listening Party in Wyoming | Pitchfork

    what an awful article

"There is something beautifully surreal—beautifully Kanye, in fact—about seeing a young man, as I did, in a black balaclava pulled over his head, a black leather Off-White trench coat draped over his body, and a clear plastic briefcase walk down the stairs to step out onto a Wyoming tarmac. There has been talk these days about red state and blue state bubbles, but here, surely, was about as strange a mingling of the two as I could ever imagine—a hypebeast ensconced in pine trees and rolling hills wearing Martin Margiela."

#1 this is awful writing #2 how are you mingling your red and blue state bubbles you're just moving the blue state bubble to the middle of wyoming. its not like anybody actually from wyoming was there lol

As problematic as some of the lyrics are on this album, the "we all come from cum" line has got to be one of the worst/funniest things I've ever heard.

This is the least memorable Kanye album ever. When “poopity scoop” is more memorable than anything else on your entire album, you have a problem.

After the first track, I really thought we might be diving into some weird and dark shit, which I could maybe at least appreciate, depending on the execution. But the rest of the album completely undercuts the first track and makes it all feel ridiculous. Saw people going nuts over "Ghost Town" on Twitter, which is the closest we get to something interesting, but it’s all so surface level and superficial. And even there, the best parts don’t even include Kanye himself! It’s everyone else that makes the song somewhat interesting.

I do really enjoy the production, though. Especially the quiet moments. The beats and samples actually feel like they’re breathing in a weird way. Maybe that’s the Wyoming of all this? If this entire album was purely instrumental, I would like it waaaaaaay more. Unfortunately, Kanye himself gets in the way of all the really interesting and beautiful production.

Also, comparing Tristan Thompson to Kobe Bryant is almost the most egregious thing Kanye has said all year.
