I think the videos I posted earlier and also in response to you would be really helpful to watch. They're not difficult to understand, and address a lot of common objections/arguments.

 

Sorry if I'm coming off ridiculous but I don't think I've ever disliked an album right after listening to it as much as just now. And from an artist who I really like-love everything else they have done. Wow.

I'm saying those absolutely had an effect, but I don't think they were the *entire* reason why every single country that tried this economic system failed miserably at achieving anything close to its stated goals.

I may be ignorant, and I'm open to having my mind changed. But as I said in my above post I think people that are absolutely convinced of their own ideas' righteousness rightfully deserve skepticism, and I just don't understand why followers of Marxism are SO convinced they are correct and this is a system that actually will work... particularly when there are no successful case studies of it *actually working*. Ultimately it's one unproven theory among many, and that's really the whole point I'm making.

It's not jaw dropping good but I found some good moments in it. I absolutely hated Pablo aside from Ultralight Beam, Famous and Real Friends......I think I like this album more.

I'm a poli-sci major (double majoring with journalism) and have studied this quite a bit... obviously I'm not an expert and don't claim to be but I've learned more about it than you probably think. I think the US, especially during the Cold War, has done some truly horrendous shit and propped up brutal dictators just because they were anti-communist.

I believe I can recognize those historical realities while also remaining skeptical of the merits of communism itself. I don't see why those are mutually exclusive.
