Yesterday made me think about Kanye albums and I think Pablo is his worst album. I personally would rather listen to Pablo than 808 but I still think 808 is theoretically better than Pablo.

And I'd throw Watch the Throne in at fourth if you wanted to count that.

And I love all of those albums.

And much of the placement is based on what those albums soundtracked in my life. Graduation was my go to album for the end of high school so definitely has the strongest nostalgia attached to it of any Kanye record for me. 10th anniversary has made me feel damn old.

 

I'd probably agree, but I still think Pablo is a great album.

I had a Kanye tattoo I was considering for a long time, but "BILL COSBY INNOCENT" derailed that idea

If I had to pick a Kanye tattoo it'd probably be some lyrics from College Dropout. I'm never going to get any tattoo though.

 

Also a weird thing is that Late Registration is easily one of my 10 favourite albums of all time (and even College Dropout comes close to that) but Kanye ins't one of my 10 favourite rappers of all time

 

Worst things for this thread to start doing:

2. Tattoo ideas that aren't jokes

 

Ranking is my calling. It also means we talk about his music which is always good.

 

Not ranking albums but Pablo is top 3 for me as well.

I still find it absurd that people think other wise (at least that it doesn't rank higher more frequently). It's far more interesting than his early stuff and I love the cut and paste feel to it. First 5 track run is masterful.

I understand the importance and influence of 808's but don't come at me with it being anywhere near his best record.

not gonna rank because I really love them all so much.

 

TLOP very similar to Graduation for me in that there are some mindblowing songs but as a whole they're not nearly as well put together as the others.

I have a pretty strong emotional attachment to TLOP

 

been listening to some Kanye while im closing up at work just because it gets me pumped to fucking leave.

also gives me a chance to show the younger ones i work with that Kanye is in fact a great songwriter and musician. they only know him as "the fishsticks guy"

I definitely agree with this but it's somewhere in my top 3 through virtue of the production on it. It's so creative.
