So those Hov lines Mostly just a bummer because I thought I read that they had met and talked it out post-hospital release
I don't think it's as bad as the media makes it out to be. I don't hear them as a feud or beef or anything, bur rather as disappointment. I said it elsewhere, but I get a father figure/old brother vibe that he is disappointed with Kanye currently, etc
Until Saint Pablo he hadn't played Cleveland since friggin 2005. Splurging on floor tickets for that show was one of the easiest and best decisions I'll probably ever make
The lines aren't that bad. Some tough love is necessary at times and at the end of the day it's still love. That's my reading of it anyway
Jay says worse things about himself on 4:44 and he sounds like he's been able to forgive himself. They'll be fine if Kanye reacts the right way.
"and we're told Kanye had no advance knowledge of Jay's lyrics" Lmao I'm not sure they know how rap works, unless this Taylor Swift reference
Would not at all be surprised if he ended up signing an Apple deal, especially with how he talks about Steve Jobs
I just ordered a Yeezus bootleg from Ear Candy Music, there were nine left and I remembered not being able to find it on Discogs (it seems to be there now) so I'm hoping the quality is decent. I know it's just going to be a rip of the digital master, but if it plays as well as my copy of TLOP, I'll be happy to have it
I go back and forth and whether or not ti buy those up. I know it's just the digital but the latest Kanye record sounds pretty bad on vinyl. so...
At this point, the only one I'm missing is Graduation so it's nice to have for collection's sake. I would have picked up the cassette if it was still in stock because at least that's an official release, but even the official vinyl releases have issues (I've never seen a copy of The College Dropout that doesn't skip and MBDTF is definitely just a rip of the digital masters). I still love having them in my collection.
Mine skips almost the entire way through both discs, unless I want to fuck up my needle by throwing a quarter on it, and according to Amazon reviews, most copies of that pressing are the same way. At this point, I just keep mine for display purposes.
