listened to this for the first time in quite a while. totally forgot how father pt 2 is literally just a panda remix haha

oh yeah i agree completely. i just forgot (since i hadn't listened to the record really since like march before panda was literally everywhere) that the whole song was literally panda with some extra stuff going on haha.

FML hits so much harder now especially after everything kanye went through recently, wow. i'm glad this listen reasserted this album as a top 5 of the year for me though, it had been so long i wasn't really sure what to think

 

Yea it's the better version of Panda because basically what Panda original is is a glorified hook. That plus one other thing I heard from Desiigner makes me think he can't do anything other than hooks tbh

The drop in FSMH Pt 1 is still probably one of my favorite music moments of 2016

I can't imagine how crazy the crowd would go for that moment!

 

It was one of the best concert moments of my life, especially since it was the opening song

 

Everyone screaming the Metro drop together was something special.

 

It's the most bass my body has ever experienced.

 

After 50 minutes of droning and weird atmospheric sounds, that drop was the perfect respite

 

I couldn't get into this album when it came out so I gave up on it. What are some highlights on the album I should give another chance?

I'll forever love 808's and Dark Fantasy.

 

My favorites are Feedback, FML, and Ultralight Beam. In terms of more wider appeal songs add in Real Friends and No More Parties in LA

 

Ultralight Beam through Frank's track is the bulk of it I'd say, together that's only 40 minutes so maybe try that section again?

I might be in the minority idk but every song is a standout. I seriously feel like for better or worse each song is extremely quotable and memorable

the transition from I love Kanye to waves gets me so hyped every time I hear it.

 

TURN ME UP

 

Waves is by far one of my favorite songs of the year. Despite how I feel about Chris Brown, I can't stop loving that chorus.
