I had decided not to financially contribute after everything earlier this year and then I was close to going back on that and now after all this I have no clue where my personal line is yet haha

 

Kanye probably sees himself paralleled to Trump as a figure given constant attention through the media, as a celebrity wanting to make changes in politics. Also as a person who has said and done a lot of gross/dumb shit. I think that's mostly where this comes from

Personally, I can still enjoy his art while recognizing and actively discussing the dumb shit he says

 

Yeah unfortunately if I only listened to artists who have never been problematic I'd have very few left,but of course I have personal lines

 

Right now I think I do feel entirely done with him and his music

But I also get the many possible reasons why people wouldn't and respect their personal lines

 

Like I said I can't listen to this album without having a mental breakdown anyway

Thanks bud I'm doing extremely well but I have certain triggers that still shake me and unfortunately since the first time I heard this album I was driving around in really hard snow trying to score its one of my biggest triggers it's all I think about when I hear any of these songs I can usually listen to 3-4 songs from this before I start to lose it. Just how it is

 

I understand, that's definitely tough. I'm so glad to hear you're doing so well and am sorry you have to associate it with that but am proud that you're able to have the strength to avoid the trigger and overcome what I imagine to be such a horrible feeling

 

I mean I'm not going to stop listening to supporting Kanye because he voted for Trump. I'm not going to stop talking to and loving my wife's family because they are all republicans and voted for Trump. Everywhere I look people are trying to pull people apart.

Literally 50% of my friends and family are republicans. Got people in here saying those are "bad people". Bunch of crazies.

 

I mean family is one thing. I have family members who voted for trump and I still love them. But if you aren't family and you voted (or would have voted for trump) fuck off for all I care

 

I mean shunning people like that just because they voted for a certain Presidential candidate seems completely backwards. Even if they aren't your family. I voted for Hillary. But I would never not talk to someone or completely disregard a human being because of a name they wrote down at the polls.

thats different. If you voted Trump for the sole purpose of bringing down marginalized groups of humans, that is awful. But I haven't meet anyone that has done that. I know there are people out there that have. But I'm not going to paint with a broad brush and say "all trump voters who aren't family can fuck off"......that's going backwards.

 

It doesn't matter if that's the sole purpose or not. That's what they voted for. As I said in the politics thread, it doesn't mean jack shit if you only support his (bullshit) economic plan, you enable everything else by giving him your vote and you need to be held accountable for that. And trust me I'd be saying the same thing to Hillary voters if she won. But she didn't, trump did, and he's ten times worse than her in every way especially social issues

 

I mean if you voted for Trump you were either fine with his racism or didn't care about it which is also bad

 

Some of the most hateful/spiteful/vile people I have encountered IRL or on the internet are right in this very forum. What does that tell you? But keep patting yourselves on your collective backs for regurgitating everything you read on the internet. Keeping pulling each other apart. Good day.
