Floor you have options too. As posted, the corners for a great vantage for most of the set OR you can get literally within feet of Kanye, something us in the stands could not experience. I had great seats.....but some of that video of the floor makes me jealous haha. Just having the option of having Kanye float over the top of you might be worth it. Also, maybe it was just Indy, but there seemed like there was ample room to move around to change your vantage. Not sure if this will be the case everywhere, but maybe find a spot you would be comfortable with if you had to stay in one spot and then decide when the show starts how well you would be able to move around based on space available.
Bunch of the 100s section for Toronto dropped to $99 on Ticketmaster so I guess I'm definitely going to this now. 4 days!
Basically explained what the "Famous" video meant, mentioned police brutality, talked about his role models and debuted the video for "Fade"
i had to contend with this in person last night. "i feel like he didnt say anything..." "i wish he would say more, you know?" "what is he talking about?" i was like "uhhhhh he just talked about police brutality and poverty, which is at the very least more than anyone else getting on that stage is likely to do tonight. what else do you want from him? pretty sure thats as substantial as youre gonna get at the MTV awards" that shut everyone up
For anyone else interested in philosophy, I found this video comparing Ye with Kierkegaard pretty interesting
Double posting from tour thread bc some info may interest people here who aren't over there Definitely enjoyed the Yeezus tour more than this one. The whole concert had the same messy feeling of the rollout, from kicking off 80 minutes late to the many songs he cut short or started over part way through. The Pablo tracks are clearly the standout here, Father Pt. 1 being the biggest (he played it twice back to back then near the end of the set he called to have it played a third time). We did not get Real Friends which was a disappointment, but we got the tour debut for Waves (!), Heartless, Gold Digger, Stronger, and Touch the Sky, of which Waves was the best (and the crowd loved it, always viewed it as one of the Pablo tracks that got overlooked). He seemed a lot more forgetful about lyrics this time around too. All around this plays like the complete opposite of the Yeezus tour. That a meticulously crafted mega spectacle, Saint Pablo a minimalist, intimate showcase willing to show its blemishes. For me, it's not peak Kanye, but it is a strong representation of The Life of Pablo and where Kanye seems to be in our perspective right now. Also, hated the merch being sold at this date so I just bought a bootleg shirt that's closer to the merch I wanted than anything there.
Bootleg Pablo shirts are definitely the way to go. They're essentially the same shirt for 1/4 of the cost.
I'll be hanging out in Boston this weekend and I am going to try to get last minute tickets if they are cheap Saturday night
