In some songs when Ye sings it sounds like hes losing his voice but ive been noticing it in other songs too more and more even on features.. the most recent on Schoolboy Qs "THat Part". I dont know if im the only one noticing this or if im misinterpreting the natural sound of a person straining their voice.

 

This version of Saint Pablo is a little different, Sampha's part is longer and different, production seems cleaner to me but I can't confirm that part

 

Saint Pablo is a perfect closer for the album, so happy with this change.

Also, as of right now is American Express still the only way to get tickets? And when does the Tidal presale start? I'm kind of panicking lol

 

I'm honestly considering getting an amex card now, getting tickets this morning was so easy with that and there's a lot of presales with early amex options

 

Answered my own question, Tidal presale starts Thursday at 10 AM local time. Just registered for another free trial and put my card in again for it

Enjoy the track. Though I feel like the bars are some of his weakest. Strange because usually when he gets personal, like he does here, he shines. Seems a little flat but enjoy the track.

 

Damn where were y'all when this dropped like two months ago. Track is dope. Biggest issue is the weird anti Semitic line

IMO the collection of music having a theme and the theme working as a collection of music are two separate things. (That sounds so convoluted...) I guess what I'm trying to say is that the music is good, but it doesn't make me think as much as his previous art.

I will say that "Saint Pablo" is a much more interesting cap to the album than "Fade". I like how it's another part of the album that references the album creation/release process, which is by far the most unique aspect about TLOP.

On the other hand, is he just going to update the album every time he has something to promote? That could get kind of corny real fast.

It feels a bit cleaner, also can't confirm though haha. But I'll add that Ye's punch ins are WAY less obvious in this mix compared to the leaked one, which is both good and expected.

Feels weird having it on the album though but oh well

 

Loved this when it first leaked, but i guess now that it's on TLOP that means no TG16 for sure? Not that I really thought it was going to happen anyways.

 

That was my thought this morning haha. Like it doesn't confirm its NOT happening...but definitely takes away from the idea that it's happening

True, but I guess it's just what I assumed. Which is exactly what you shouldn't do with Kanye.

 

I don't think Ive heard any of the updated tracks, but the Saint Pablo leak from awhile back is great. I don't see any point in listening to the updated versions and probably won't.

 

Saint Pablo being officially released made me go back and listen to this front to back again. I've really become over the Silver Surfer-Facts stretch and I think that's why I've basically just been listening to songs on this on playlists or whenever they come on shuffle. If I hadn't worn out No More Parties before the release, it might be different, but now I've just lost interest once Frank's Track ends until Fade kicks in.

 

I still listen to the album regularly, but I almost always just stop after Wolves/Frank's Track.

 

i havent listened to the bonus tracks pretty much at all, i always cut it after wolves/franks track

 

I've done that a bunch too, but I love Fade (and now Saint Pablo, since it's in the tracklisting) and kinda wish they were integrated better into the main chunk.

 

I honestly start to lose interest in this after Highlights, not that I don't like the rest of it or that I stop listening. I just think most of the songs after that don't reach the same highs.
