Even though I don't particularly care for most of the tour merch so far, I like the idea of having city specific merch. Metallica had different shirts for each city on the St. Anger tour and I thought it was pretty cool.
Last night was so fun. Probably more fun than Yeezus tour for me though I thought Yeezus was maybe a better show. Teeeny bit bummed every other show got 30 Hours but I was avoiding setlists for this like crazy so I wasn't waiting for it or anything. If this tour is underhyped or not selling out you wouldn't know it last night.
I love some of those. Someone going to the concert that would wanna pick me up a shirt lemme know. I'll PayPal someone.
Has attendance been low thus far? I haven't seen anyone say anything on it. I know secondary market for the Yeezus Tour wasn't good but both shows I went too filled in by time he was on stage.
Stubhub has the MSG shows at $53 and $55 for each night respectfully. Cheapest 100 level ticket is 88. I think it's going to get lower closer to the show.
Was at MSG last night on the floor. Absolutely insane experience - It was like a giant dance party. The entire stadium was packed and it seemed like everyone was going wild. Setlist was great too. He pretty much hit a little bit of everything.
To be honest, I think I'll enjoy it more too. Maybe if I was like 18 and still moshing at concerts it'd be cool but I find it a little unsettling that people paid $200+ for floor tickets and can't even really see Kanye or the stage. I'm still pretty high up - Row 3, section 201 for this, so I'm not going to have a great view either. I'm also wondering how all these venues came up with pricing for seats, because I know for Cleveland's show, when I bought tickets it showed the 'stage' in the far right of the arena, but it looks like this floating stage is in the middle of the floor, which I think if venues knew what he was doing, it may have had an effect on ticket pricing. My seats were pretty high compared to other seats because it showed my seats were closer to the stage (if it were really all the way to the right). Are there screens or any light shows involved or anything?
There's a large screen at one end of the GA floor that shows him performing, and one could argue that the stage and other floating portion are a light show in itself.
The floor is honestly more about the overall experience like vibing with the people around you. Kanye moves around enough that I never felt like I was ripped off but I can totally see why it'd be off putting for some. There were one or two times when he stopped and knelt down on the stage while the lights above did like a choreographed routine to some electronic music/sounds. Pretty dope actually.
in my case, I felt Kanye spent most time on the opposite side of where the stage was placed on the venue map (not that much in the middle) which happened to be right in front of me LOL my ok seats suddenly becase the best seats
Yeah, that'll be bullshit if that's the case for me because although my seats are higher up, I paid more because it was closer to supposed stage. If stage is on opposite side, suddenly I have worst (and should be cheapest) seats in the arena.
