looks like even the actual audience in the room groaned at that comment. AKA people are in that room because they want to see Kanye the human, and they don't care about politics
i feel bad for saying this. watching the video, it’s pretty clear dude needs serious help. his views are reprehensible but i hope he gets it.
I know this is delicate issue and there's a line to balance but he could both need some guidance AND also be a bad person. I'm not gonna make any super declarative statements because I obviously don't know the guy but damn man.
This whole situation is so sad. First off, it's the middle of a global pandemic and a hoard of people just flocked together in a room to watch a man have a nervous breakdown on stage. No one there can say with a straight face that they went there because they actually believe Kanye will be a great president. They went there because they knew they were gonna witness another one of his episodes and they wanted to put it on social media. Second, it's sad to see this man be allowed to go through his adult life so misguided and unchecked. He's saying the most ignorant, inflammatory shit and it's because he's got too many yes men around him not putting him in check. He's awful, and so are those people in the room chanting "yeezy! yeezy!"
“Kim convinced him not to abort North” 1) What a weird sentence considering a woman’s choice whether to give birth or not is her choice and her choice only since it’s her body. The fact that Kanye phrases it as a choice he had control over is disgusting. 2) Being North and hearing your dad (even if she’s too young now, she will see this later in life) yell about how you were potentially going to be aborted is an awful thing to hear and it’s disgusting Kanye would openly talk about it. If he truly doesn’t care about becoming president, why is he trying so hard to get on the ballot in certain states? Why did he announce he was running in the first place?
It's very clear to me that he's in need of serious help that his inner circle isn't giving him. I know he's an adult man that can make his own decisions but he's so far gone at this point that I really think somebody needs to step in. The guy has been a hero of mine for literally over half of my life but he's become pretty much unrecognizable at this point, and I'm concerned he's going to really hurt himself. He just really, really needs to take some time, literally years, away from the spotlight and work on himself, but unfortunately I just really don't see that happening, especially with who he surrounds himself with now.
I honestly don't think there is anyone in that inner circle who truly loves him - he's just a pay check to them. the last person to love Kanye was his mother.
