For a while I was avoiding listening to him but now I'm at the point where I can and do listen to everything up to Pablo. College Dropout and Late Registration are the two I've been gravitating towards most and they feel like they were made by a completely different person than current Kanye anyway.

Current Kanye is definitely not a terrible musician. A bad rapper maybe, but he’s still a great producer.

 

So I went to the Sunday service performance and the choir he has for this is incredible

 

I grew up in this stuff. If I had to explain like you’re five: evangelicals believe everybody worships something (people seek out peace in different things). Translating out of christian language, he’s saying artists/public figures/celebs more often than not endorse lifestyles that are probably harmful for your overall well-being. The general listener is sold pleasure/instant gratification way more often than nutrition/sustenance

 

This is one hell of a midlife crisis.
