i saw it, it was excluded from A-list and was $20 so I just said I was going to see The Lighthouse (go see it everyone) and snuck in. lol at anyone who paid to see it, it wasn't even 35 minutes. it was shot well enough but it was just more of the sunday service and didn't go anywhere. It was interspersed with very basic bible verses. Like the album it is devoid of any commentary other than "jesus good?". People were pretty pissed when it ended.
The review itself is well written and reads closer to a 3 or 4. Of course, they don’t assign the numbers, the editors do. And they’re cowards when it comes to beloved artists in the Pitchfork-sphere.
Realizing every time I return to this thread, I get angry. Gonna unfollow this thread and I encourage everyone else to do so as well. This man revels in our attention, even if it's critical, and I'm not going to give it to him.
I can’t even fathom the Simone Biles-level mental gymnastics required to still listen to this dude’s music and support him after seeing him on the same day get the full-throated support of DTJ and saying some even more horrific garbage on top of all the past horrific garbage he’s said. It’s impressive.
were there any trailers beforehand? If the showtime is 5:00, can I show up at 5:20 or do I need to be in the theater at 5?
Why do people hate Corden? I'm legit asking, I don't know anything about him except that he does a late night show I don't watch lol
skimming through this karaoke thing makes me really uncomfortable seeing Kanye like.... trying to be a part of this and attempt to do promo or whatever this is. I don't know exactly how to put it into words, but he does not act... "well." It's just really sad to see what has happened to him, and knowing that he has outwardly said that he isn't working to fix anything with himself, you can tell that something needs to be worked on with him deeper down. Even during Jesus Walks he looks... sleepy, not really there mentally... I dunno
if im reading this correctly, it makes it seems like HE was flying business, and she was back in economy with the baby? am i gathering this story correctly? jfc
sorry, this is getting worse by the second. Corden usually like, practices all these songs ahead of time so he can sing along with the artist, but he obviously did not do that this time around, seeing Corden attempt to sing along to Jesus Walks is so so so embarrasing
I kinda just have an inherent distrust of anyone who's job is to pal around with rich celebrities to make them seem relatable. I don't believe they are on my side.
