So is he just rereleasing the album on actual streaming now? Gotta wonder if it's been updated or reworked...at all

 

Theoretically the answer will come on Friday when we hear if this song is the same or different from the stem version

 

the answer is that the single release is slightly different but not enough for it to be any good

 

Watching the Turning the Tables reaction to this and as someone who does think there's a good record in here somewhere (Kanye aside), it's never been more apparent that the best moments of this record, released under his name, have the least to do with him. From the production work down to the features on the best tracks (Vory, Fivio, The Weeknd, Lil Durk, Lil Baby), to me, a Kanye record has never sounded less indebted to his contributions or vision and better for it. Wish this one didn't have so much fucking baggage.

 

That’s hard to say, no? Maybe he wanted to make records like he thinks they would make, so to say.

 

This album feels more personal to him than TLOP to me, which is an album I really love

Finally finished the doc. Man. Great stuff. Last half hour or so is such a bummer. Hearing him talk about translating alien to English or whatever was genuinely scary

 

I never finished the last episode cause I knew how sad and depressing it was going to get.

 

It was truly a great documentary series, heartbreaking to watch it all happen though. Some of the footage in those first few episodes was truly insane

 

I can't believe how impartial Coodie was able to stay. Like, he didn't outright criticize what Kanye was saying post-2016 in his narration, but the tone with which he presented that footage and restraint he showed when choosing when to keep filming vs when to cut spoke volumes. Really impressive considering how close they were.
