  1. ✓ Dunk on Kanye
✓ New album may never come out
    ✓ Chorus drama

Based on the typical lifecycle of a Kanye thread about now is the time we start ranking his discography, right?

    Still A Threat Prestigious

On another note, I’m not sure I want Watch The Throne 2. In hindsight, the first one really didn’t do both of them any good artistically. Jay Z only got great again once he moved away from all that and made 4:44 (I also really liked the Jayonce album, not sure which came first at this point). We all know what happened to Kanye.

I also don’t think the first one is all that great even if you disregard what it led to. It had a few bangers, but overall it always felt pretty hollow to me.

Based take. Watch the throne 1 has only like an EP worth of bangers at best.

Yeah and even those frankly don’t scratch the top 20 (I’d even go way higher) of either of them.

I should clarify that I don’t want it as a Jay Z fan. I don’t care what Kanye does. I have no expectations anymore. I have no idea if it would be good for him or not.

I mean Paris is an all timer but there's next to no chance they'll catch lightning in a bottle again.

And I can get kooky Justin Vernon stuff elsewhere.

  9. I've seen reports that it may once again be delayed to August 13, with people citing the release date change on iTunes.

I remember playing WTT into the ground when it dropped and I think sonically it still is interesting and pretty unique. But I never ever go back to it, probably since 2013. “No Church in the Wild” and “Paris” are so immediately recognizable at this point I don’t really need to hear them again but “Otis” will forever be one of my favorite songs from either of them. (And “The Joy”)

The date iTunes has is the date Def Jam gives them and Def Jam doesn’t fucking know either

but are we assuming this is like a manual input?

man I just did a Kanye relisten (in the lead up to what I thought was this albums release) and I feel like that period from MBDTF through Yeezus is some of the best Kanye material out there

Everything up to Yeezus is Good to Great..everything post Yeezus is pretty much below average to bad and I don’t count Jesus is Love as part of the discography because that’s below bad
