Gun to my Head is so much better than the whole album so of course it was left off lol, Drunk is so bad and Kanye isn’t even on it, Believer produced by Peggy but it’s so unfinished it’s unlistenable, this is a dumpster fire I can’t look away from

 

Bomb is the worst piece of music he has ever publicly released

 

Uhhh did it actually get close? Taylor released 4 new versions 41 minutes before midnight.....

I can't imagine any other reason to release 4 variants for 40 minutes other than it getting too close

I don't want this to sound mean, but she absolutely did not make any notable money (to her) from releasing 4 versions of her album for 41 minutes. It absolutely was just for chart reasons, not money reasons

 

The nitrous thing feels really dark, and the seemingly random release of different leaks reeks of people around him just squeezing out everything they can get from him at this point. I honestly am not sure he's gonna be alive much longer

 

I don't know if I would speculate that far. The nitrous thing is definitely dark and not good. Him just releasing unfinished fan favorite leaks on a "deluxe" version of this more so feels like a desperate movie to get people to care about this album. Music is the one thing about him people still seemed to care about, and now even that is slipping away

 

things are very bleak

 

Hits projections are out, and nope he didn't come close. #2 with about 83k activity. Taylor obviously at #1 with 141k.

 

Haha, wow. I mean, it's absolutely what everyone predicted, but it really begs two big questions...

Did Kanye actually think that the 5 bonus versions would boost numbers to catch up? Did he even know what the projected numbers were at the time? Or does he just have too many Yes-men that support anything he wants?

WTF was Taylor doing with the 4 new versions yesterday if she wasn't in any fear, absolutely bizarre in so many ways

So I was a mega fan up through Yeezus. I will still ride for every one of those albums. I think half of Pablo is great. Did not like Ye but Ghost Town and even Yikes I thought were pretty good. JIK was not for me but I even thought Donda had half a dozen good songs.

Vultures 2 is one of the worst albums I have ever listened to. Absolutely awful.

There's a good single LP in Donda...somewhere. But that's neither here nor there.

Donda 2 still absolutely without a doubt the worst thing he's ever "released."

Sucks that he's likely doing this for disingenuous reasons (upset about the split/trying to remain relevant) but yes, very dark all the same

Heard "Strange Fruit" today and I had this feeling like.... wow I haven't heard Blood On The Leaves in years, that song is fucking incredible, I can't believe what has become of Kanye, I don't listen to any of his music anymore in any meaningful way, and recalling how incredible he used to be is like some weird distant memory.

 

He occupies a unique space for me in that I can’t listen to his formerly great stuff without thinking about his current miserable state, so I just don’t.

put a better way, his behavior in recent years is so bad that he’s made it impossible for me to separate the art from the artist.

 

If it comes on I’ll listen still, it occupied a lot of my listening for like 15 years

 

Yeah I guess I still would listen if it came up, but I haven't purposely put on Yeezus for a very long time and I used to listen alllll the time years ago
