Y'all know that if you want to listen to something but not support the artist you can just use soulseek, right? Works just as well now as it did 20ish years ago. If you don't know what I'm talking about, Google is your friend. Super easy to set up and use even for the tech illiterate.

Personally I wouldn't even bother pirating his shit anymore. I did listen to about a minute of the song with North West on it....artists who think their kids are geniuses because they can make sounds into a mic always crack me up

 

The worst part about this whole situation is this is his best album since Yeezus

 

I’m still patiently waiting for you all to admit that Yeezus was wack too ;)

 

His last great album was MBDTF and everything since has been fine or dogshit.

I feel like TLOP is one of his best. After that album is where he started to go downhill for me.

Yeah this is why I'm probably gonna skip out on listening to this album. I already know he's gonna say a ton of shit I can't vibe with.

 

yeah it’s a cold take. Yeezus tour is the best show I’ve ever seen and it’s not close.

One thing those who have listened aren’t saying too is how uncomfortably and wildly HORNY ye is on this record. This man is giving big sex addict vibes. It’s like “I’m in it” for a whole record. Ty dolla sign doesn’t help in that department haha

 

This is definitely not better than TLOP for me but it's easily the most listenable of everything he's done after it (sans Kids See Ghosts).

And Yeezus is an undeniable album, come on now man

 

There are a few great tracks on Pablo but I do not care for a majority of that album

Yeah, Yeezus is perfect. The tour even more perfect and still is the best show I’ve ever seen.

 

Kids See Ghosts was his last great project imo

And in terms of the actual “quality” of this album (which I checked out a YouTube rip of) - the big thing is Kanye is no longer innovating. Nothing on here sounds like something he wouldn’t have put out 5 years ago

 

Haven’t listened to it, but given the title one would think that’s kind of the point of the record.

 

Hoodrat / Paperwork are pretty different. I think the album is a pretty good amalgamation of all his work of the last 20 years, there are some real throwback tracks like Burn/Do It, and then some of the crazier industrial stuff as well.

I admit I completely forgot about Kids See Ghosts lol

Man, I remember around the time of Late Registration I fucking loved Kanye. I used to listen to those first two albums daily. And, even when he started to do some questionable stuff, up to MBDTF and maybe Yeezus I would at least say "Yeah he's a bit of a dick, but he's also a genius."

Now everything about him makes me feel sad and uncomfortable. I can't even bring myself to listen to this because I just can't support him. The MAGA shit, the anti-Semitism, the Pete/Kim thing, the seemingly fucked up relationship with Bianca, the list just goes on and on.

 

theres just so much good music in the world not created by egotistical edgelords theres really no reason to waste ur time? this album is like fine i guess but also pretty half assed for being teased for like three years, sad even the music feels p troll-y at this pt and there isnt much beyond that

It aired on some tvs. Namely, the one on in front of me at my 80 y/o mother in laws in Midwest.

 

There was definitely one that aired, Kanye and North were in it and the song she sings on from Vultures was playing.
