Read an article yesterday that mentioned a lot of Kanye’s rhetoric lines up with teachings of Black Hebrew Israeilite’s. I know very little of this group, but it mentioned that Kodak Black and Kendrick also support this group via their music.

Is this true about Kendrick?

 

Yeah he’s said some antisemitic stuff* in the past from what I recall. Jay Z and Jay Electronica too, off the top of my head. There’s a lot of it in hip hop unfortunately. No place for me to speak about the Black Hebrew Israelites

*or at least pro Black Hebrew Israelites. Again, I'm nowhere near well read enough to speak about the complexities of that matter

Yep. Kanye just really went mask-off with it. I think jay Electronica (and Ice Cube) are a bit worse with what they've said than Jay-Z ("The Story of OJ") or Kendrick (DAMN), but I very well could be wrong as I am also not the person to speak on it. The implications they make are, at the very least, questionable.

I’m not familiar enough with Kendrick’s lyrics but I wouldn’t put it past a lot of writers to confuse it with the Five-Percent Nation or random Black Nationalism but I also don’t think it’s impossible that it could be true. The stuff Kanye has been saying lately is definitely in line with stuff the Black Israelites say.

 

The "black people are the real jews" definitely is specifically associated with BHI. Kendrick dropped the "i'm an israelite/don't call me black no more" line soo theres something there
