I can't believe there are people here who aren't fond of "Happy and Sad" because that song slaps. And a three day album rollout (so far) is much better than *checks notes* one that seems to last forever. And visual albums are so cool when they're done in an interesting way. It's a nice added component that's something you DON'T have to watch if you don't want to!!!!!
God dude, I love the drums on that song. They sound great and its littered with little “drum hooks”. One of my favorite moments is the lock up after the bridge between the snare and “felt it”. The rhythm section in general on the whole record is top notch.
this thread is such a mess that I talked about listening to the new single early this morning and NO ONE even replied, liked, or DMed me about it. Wild shit.
I didn't even realize the second single was available to listen to at all yet. Wow. EDIT: I went back and saw that your comment definitely flew under the radar right before all the craziness in here today.
New song is very nice. I'd call it a natural progression from Golden Hour, in that it has some definite poppy elements but still has a very songwriterly feel. I actually find the title track more intriguing, personally, but this should be more what people are expecting.
Wait Kacey was originally supposed to sing that part in vicious love? Was that a joke? Also the Miguel collab is still awesome.
Great editing in that video. This isn’t one of my favorite Kacey songs but I think it’s the right single choice.
