Pit was $150 before fees in Boston. Front-mid loge $130 Last like, two rows of the further back loge were $100 Balcony was $30-$80 Was finally able to get two back loge seats, aisle seats, but after fees was almost $300. Just can’t justify it right now and I’m sad.
pit was 145 in dc, floor seats up frnot were 500, 150 in the lower bowl, and i didn't check above that because i wouldn't want to sit back there. after a bunch of refreshes, i was able to get pit. 361 after fees for a pair. nuts.
I got through the first time and the pit was $125 and then the Wells Fargo site was so slow checking out that it timed out, and when I went back in they were $150
Ticket pricing for big venues is insane to me. Awful seats are frequently 2X+ the price of even the most expensive ticket in a smaller venue. Ticketmaster's bad business practices only make it worse. Just let me pay $20 to sit a mile away and hear the concert bouncing off everything in the space.
Absolutely. I remember when MCR reunion tickets went on sale and within 5 minutes they are something like 5x the original price.
Getting tickets to big shows is one of the worst customer experiences you will ever have. I have not returned to live music yet since the beginning of the pandemic (and currently have no plans to do so), and I definitely do not miss waiting in virtual "lines" to be told all the tickets sold out in five minutes.
The Platinum tickets are the worst. I bought a ticket to see Ruston Kelly that was ~$50 (because of "demand!"), and they've been going for ~$20 less ever since. The event still hasn't sold out.
Looked at the prices and oof, those are some rough prices. Might hold off for a while and then decide.
Y’all are making me feel much better about that tour not coming to my neck of the woods talking about awful this ticket situation is.
I disagree with the notion that there aren't still country roots in some of the sonics of this record. The songwriting still comes reliably from that background, and the flamenco flourishes that he calls out as being kind of "out there" are pretty common in Tejano/Tex-Mex songs, with some of Willie Nelson's music being one of the more obviously reference points for Kacey.
I jumped in the queue like five minutes after presale went live, there was only like 3 people a head of me lol. Got mid tier club level tickets for 100 a pop, not too bad. Lower level here is about 140 each.
