Just relooked at the tracklist and can’t really sing one of those songs minus “Sway”, “Cardinal”, “The Architect”, “Deeper Well”

 

i guess that's fair. i like it quite a bit mainly because she's really resting in that breezy, acoustic soundspace from Golden Hour a bit more. putting it on calms me down whenever i'm dealing with anxiety. but i also know not everyone goes to Kacey's music for the same type of song. just figured for most people it was a tiny bit of a return to form after star-crossed

 

I can sing every song on Deeper Well, sounds like a skill/effort issue, @Matt Chylak.

 

Too Good to Be True is also an easy one to remember given its interpolation of Anna Nalick's "Breathe (2 AM)".

I love this

and it's fun that Willie gets name dropped on horses and divorces and then shows up on the next track

 

This would actually be a hilarious exercise for any album.

 

Dirty Projectors actually did it for a Black Flag album but I question how realistic they were about it because the end product is quite different

Snagged tix through the amex presale, lower bowl for 130 each including fees is hella cheap lol

 

The singles for this were some of the weaker songs I think. I get why they were chosen, especially Dry Spell, but I'm glad I like this album more than I was expecting to. Really good stuff

 

Can we make it illegal to release your opening track as a single?

 

As long as we can agree to also include closing tracks in that law, then yes. You'd have my vote.

 

After my second listen I’m absolutely on board with this.
