you don't want future and ed sheeran features on a kacey musgraves album?

okay neither do i but i would love to see her lean even harder into her pop sensibilities.

Can't believe how many "who is she?" comments I'm reading. Stoked she is gaining more exposure.

I would rather eat my own hand than have either of those people anywhere near a Kacey record.

What I love so much about Golden Hour is how it blends her grasp of country music tropes with that starry-eyed, hyper-melodic pop sound. She has more classic country in her blood than Taylor ever did, and I just think it would be a bummer to lose that.

I think it's also important to have an outspoken ally in country

It's a moot point she's yee haw for life

I agree with Craig so big here. She's on a perfect trajectory and staying true to her sound.

I remember the first time I heard her lead singles, particularly Space Cowboy. I can still recall the chills I got. It was everything I wanted from her. This spacious, beautiful, country tinged, melancholic tune. I was so scared she'd release some radio pop bs, and instead I got this incredibly lush song. What an artist.

Seeing her a few weeks ago at the Beacon Theatre was truly something special. Shes come a long way playing Brooklyn's Northside Festival with Conor Oberst. Very happy she won all the Grammys, I wonder what this means for future touring (i.e., arenas only.)

I’m happy she’s getting the recognition she deserves. Before “Golden Hour” was released, I had only heard the “Follow Your Arrow” single, which I thought was catchy.

Neither my wife and I are big country fans, but we popped in “Golden Hour” and fell in love. One of the rare albums where we can listen to the whole thing through and truly enjoy every song.

Bummed I missed her in St. Paul earlier this month.

The suggestion that she go pop literally made my stomach turn lol

I'm already worried Maren Morris will as it is.

Red is DEFINITELY not a “full pop” pivot. Still a ton of country in that album. We’d get 1989 next, and while I like that album, I don’t think that direction suits Kacey.

    Yeah, pretty much this.

Here's an idea: we can let Kacey do whatever the fuck she wants and be excited for it, cause she's released 3 straight classics and clearly knows better than any of us what to do. Haha

Do you think people speculated on whether Dolly Parton would go disco in the 70s and we just will never know because there was no internet?

Really? She seems so progressive, especially by country standards

  23. Has anyone ever heard her Christmas album? I've never seen anyone brought it up yet to my surprise. Looks like it has a few original songs.
