The only one I'm not completely sold on is Oh, What A World.

The true sign of a great album IMHO, haha. Favorite is probably still High Horse, then Velvet Elvis and the other two singles.

"Wonder Woman" is the only one I'm not sold on... lyrics are just a step on the wrong side of cheesy. I definitely liked Pageant Material more after the first few listens, but this is an easy EOTY contender that I'll only love more when I'm not at work making powerpoints. It's an incredibly lush, romantic pop record that plays with the rhythms, lilts, and lyrics of country music in an invigorating way. Interested to see if any of this can cross over to pop radio.

On first listen I actually think the first two songs were my favorite, along with High Horse. The whole thing is really good though, I’d say immediately my favorite from her. Can’t wait to listen again.

4th listen was the best yet. It just sounds so smooth.

A good amount of corny lyrics prevented me from loving this on first listen. Still mostly great stuff though.

    what a waste of wood

The melodies here are fucking flawless. "Lonely Weekend" is an early favorite. That or "Slow Burn".

    run away with me Platinum

the whole thing is good but the stretch from Velvet Elvis on grabbed me most on first listen not counting the pre-released tracks

Okay yeah, the harmonies and (... Banjo? Mandolin? not sure which one it is) really save the song for me.

The lyrics for Wonder Woman didn't strike me as cheesy at all. Song is a huge standout for me so far. Favorites so far have to be Slow Burn, Space Cowboy & Wonder Woman - but really the whole thing is so damn good. Even after I'm writing those I feel like I wanna add a couple more to the list of standouts.

The only lyrics that seemed a little cheesy to me were Velvet Elvis but in a completely awesome way.

I think she’s someone who can pull off lyrics that would seem cheesy in the hands of many other artists.
