Am I the only one that hears the song "Deeper Well" skip when Kacey sings 27. It's consistent on every single platform....

 

I listened to this yesterday while driving around and getting ice cream. Really nice record. The first one I have really responded to since Pageant Material.

 

That quiet galloping beat that's the backbone for Sway is so satisfying. After spending the better part of a week trying to digest and find something to like in that TSwift album, this album feels like such an easy one to breeze through.

 

Would be surprised if this doesn’t end up being my most listened to album of 2024. Just so soothing and pretty and easy to have on.

 

I gotta revisit it soon, honestly forgot it came out

 

Sway is an all-timer. Something special in that song

 

Just got the special edition record and the inner sleeve is scented and smells heavenly. It was a bit pricey than I'll normally pay for one record, but it's probably my favorite release of the year so far and I was really impressed with the presentation. Just a beautiful, relaxing record like others have said.

I think this is my favorite of all the 2024 lady rock albums from Adrianne Lenker, Katy Kirby, Waxahatchee, Maggie Rogers, Madi Diaz, etc.

It just sounds so much more solid to me than the others. Just beautifully produced.

 

Looks like star-crossed isn't represented on the setlist at all, which is a bit surprising. I know it didn't do as well as she probably hoped but I figured that at least Justified, Camera Roll or Simple Times would be on there. Also her second tour in a row without a single Pageant Material song... really hope she revisits that album some day.

Saw her yesterday, what a great live band she has with her, and she sounded fantastic too.

I think there was like 1,500 people, i don’t get why she isn’t bigger here but on other side, it was kinda of an intimate show and enjoyed the hell out of it. Latest record is still one of my favorite of the year, and shaping up to be my favorite Kacey record after hearing almost all the songs of it live.

 

If I haven’t listened to anything pre Golden Hour, which is better? Same Trailer or Pageant Material?

 

I like Same Trailer more, but a lot of people on this site seem to prefer Pageant Material. I think the former has a higher hit rate and arguably her two most essential singles ("Merry Go Round" and "Follow Your Arrow"). Both are pretty wonderful, though.

I think both albums are pretty much equal in quality

 

Both are fantastic. My House is possibly the most charming song in existence.

 

I still think they're her best albums
