I really love this record. I get the criticisms totally, but I find it to be such a soothing listen. It's hitting especially well today as I chill out and relax after a 100-mile marathon training week.

I think my only complaint is every song seems to just blend together. Also, I miss the witty/punny lyrics. Individually I liked all the songs but I feel like I need to be in a real specific chill mood for a full album listen.

 

I would like to know whether it was her or Tashin who bought a new 12-string for this album and decided, damn it, they’re going to use it.

I do indeed. Used the first ever MA tax holiday to buy a Washburn that sounds about $400 better than it cost and has aged like fine wine.

 

My Amazon exclusive vinyl just turned up here in the UK. Excited to give it a spin, see how it sounds.

 

Album sounds like something I’ll be more into when we get to summer.

“The Architect” was the clear standout upon initial listen.

 

I'm really enjoying the record as well. I was nervous that it would blend together after my first listen through but now I've logged a significant number more, it's way more varied than it seems upon first glance. While I don't think the record overstays it's welcome, and it could have benefitted from trimming 1-2 songs, it's not something I feel strongly about...mainly because I don't know what I would've cut yet lol
