And I didn't really get into b-sides, especially from non-mentioned acts like Irene & Seulgi, tripleS, ARTMS... It's been a stronger first half of the year compared to 2023 and 2024 for me.

Also if I had to pick one song, it would be the one from JUST B. The visuals are very brat coded and it sounds like nothing else out there in K-Pop at the moment. Reminds me of more of the ravey hyperpop I hear from Japan instead.

 

Excited to check out the album but this is good

I also heard the new blackpink song and it was just meh to me something felt off

 

Both felt slightly off to me but good

Blackpink hook felt like it's for a different song, Twice hook fit better but it felt weird just due to it coming out RIGHT after the Babymonster single that has a very similar feeling hook

The TWICE album is really good

 

TWICE album is pretty good (i've only listened to half of it so far) but the title track... first of all i didn't expect them to go w english TT twice in a row- but for some reason the lyrics feel so much worse than the last time lmao
like- the v generic girl power lines and "turrrrn it up" just feel dated. like i can tell they're channeling an 80's kind of, idk, exercise pop?

don't get me wrong, i like it- but i'd listen to any other song on the album before putting on the TT

 

Listed my Babymonster tickets on resale but if anyone in the DFW area is aiming to see them lemme know and you can have em for cheaper (I know this is a longshot since not many posters in Dallas area who like kpop like me and also like Babymonster). Only selling em cuz Le Sserafim is the day after and I likely won't do both and LSFM obviously gets priority

 

I have watched the PTD shows a million times, but I was actually kind of surprised at how much I love this? Seems to be a mix of recordings from the Seoul, LA, and Vegas shows. No "Save Me" is a crime though.

 

I can’t get enough of that new BLACKPINK song. Excellent visuals in the video too.

the video hurts my eyes, something about the different FPS' of the background dancers and the pinks makes me a little queezy but the song is a bop tho

BTS Members Best Solo Songs Ranked

Is this rage bait? This is the worst ranking I've ever seen. Putting some of the best songs in the bottom half of the list while including covers and fan songs in the top is a choice.

 

New BigHit group. Not sure I like this particular song, but the members already have writing / producing credits on ILLIT, Le Sserafim, TXT, and Enhypen songs, so I'll definitely check out their EP when it comes out.

 

young Posse is slowing becoming my fav group not a part of the big 3 (RIP kiss of life), this comeback is super catchy

 

So excited to get one of my fav albums of the year signed Saturday in NYC. I just happened to be on instagram right as B&N posted about event. Just happy I got ticket before it sold out

Also Dayoung from WJSN did a small release and the single is straight up vintage Hyolyn and I love it

I really hope we get more out of the WJSN members over time even if it's not a full comeback. Loved the Seola release

The thing I'll miss most about Texas when I move is all the cowboy hats at kpop shows (and the kpop crowds in general)

Other states have good shows too but Texas shows have such good crowds in comparison
