They've already re-signed Rose but yeah I think Blackpink as a whole is gone

 

I’m honestly curious to see what happens with all that. This is my first time seeing it happen as a kpop fan

 

Since we haven't had a group of this scale go through something like this it's probably the first time for everyone, it's wild

 

A few groups I like have members who are still in the group but no longer with the group's current company (Monsta X, Mamamoo) but it's not the majority of members like it seems it would be with Blackpink, and they also seem to.. I don't know, want to continue to be in a group more than Blackpink does? So it will def be interesting.

 

WJSN is doing that as well (at least kinda since I have no idea when to expect new things from them)

 

yeah i've heard that discussion abt the members possibly only re-signing w YG as a member of the group but getting a dif agency for their solo stuff
there's that report (don't know how reputable) that Jennie and Jisoo are starting their own agencies to manage their solo schedules

i honestly have no idea how the negotiations are gonna turn out!! has there ever been this much uncertainty w a group of their level?

So excited for the full release tomorrow. DPR Ian's last album is one of my favorite albums in so long. I know he's not technically "kpop" or whatever but I can't think of a place more fitting to post about it haha

 

i've heard that name a few times but i haven't check out anything by them.

so that's just one guy right?

 

Yup! Dream Perfect Regime is like a “collective” with multiple artists like DPR Live, DPR Ian, DPR Cream, and I think others. Live and Ian perform together often (and did at Coachella) but their releases are solo releases (sometimes with features)

finally got around to listening to the new INFINITE EP and it’s everything I loved about them in a few songs. Maybe some of their best vocal performances. I hope we get a video for Time Difference

 

New TXT album is out. Listened to it twice and there's some songs I really like and some that I think might need to grow on me. Really like the aesthetic / styling though.

it's not bad, i def was iffy on Baddie at first- i still don't fully like the hook (prob the first IVE tt that i don't fully fuck with, lol)

 

It's a great series! Granted, I am literally biased, Yoongi is my ult, but I find it very enjoyable. The conversations are always interesting, and there's been such a wide array of people on it so far (including all of his six members as well). Def check it out if you get a chance! Some of my favorite eps are Jungkook, Tablo, Taeyang and Lee Kang-in (mostly because it's fun to see the parallels between sports and kpop laid out so well!). There's also an episode where RM interviews Yoongi, from when DDay came out, which is fun!

 

Suchwita has become my favorite YouTube show. So many guests have said that they wont do interviews / shows because it's uncomfortable or they aren't asked interesting questions, but they actually request to be on Yoongi's. I'm so happy he pre-filmed a bunch of episodes, he's only been gone a month, but I already miss him.

 

I don't listen to much k-pop, but i've got playlist of Blackpink's bangers I keep listening to and i'm a big fan of the LL SSERAFIM album that came out this year. If anyone has any recs of stuff similar to that, i'm all ears. Also like what i've heard from NewJeans.

 

i think you'd probably like (G)I-dle, they have really similar energy to those two (imo)

Their catalog is pretty diverse and I recommend a lot of it

 

Album isn't even out yet and he's already got the fastest song to hit 1B on Spotify.
