Honestly haven’t dug into her besides one or two songs I’ve heard around and haven’t cared for lol... what’s a song by her you think is good? I’ll check it out.

I just don’t know how well her style would fit on a JT song tbh, but like I said my knowledge of her is super limited.

Biggest fear with a Lizzo collab is that JT wouldn't be able to keep up with her.

 

Lol. Maybe I should rephrase my concern... I think it’s possible for two artists’ styles to clash even if neither is bad at what they do. Idk I just don’t really hear this working personally, but I’m hopeful they’ll prove me wrong and it’ll be dope.

At the very least I’m intrigued by the idea of JT opening his circle of collaborators to include a lot of younger/newer voices. I’m hopeful it leads to some cool things.

 

JT made it work with Chris Stapleton... I have no need to worry ahead of hearing anything

 

Ok I finally got to check these out. I definitely like Cuz I Love You especially MUCH more than the songs I'd heard from her before... she definitely has a bigger vocal range than I realized. I thought from that "Truth Hurts" song that she was mostly a rapper, and I honestly like the singing side of her music much, much more than the rapping. I'll somewhat eat my words lol, this could be interesting.

 

OK one last one for you for now, full album is fun if you ever wanna dive further in, but you'll at least dig this

 

If he wanted to be bold, he'd team up with Brittany Howard from Alabama Shakes

 

Yeah man, absolutely listen to the entirety of 'Cuz I Love You' she has incredible range

Michael Strahan is friends with JT and has apparently heard his new album... he talks a bit about the song with Meek Mill (I timestamped it to the right part... 5:54 if that doesn't work)

EDIT: Looks like it is, she’s listed as one of the featured artists for the soundtrack. Tbh it seems like weird timing since there’s also that song with Meek Mill being teased that’s NOT for Trolls... it would be weird to drop both around the same time.
