I’d love to see a Jay-Z halftime show. But with our luck, we’ll have something like Pitbull next year.

I’m betting Pink is the next halftime performance. Seems long overdue and she’s the kind of artist they’d want for this

JT’s performance was fine. I expected a hell of a lot worse from comments I saw. I preferred the medley he did at the VMAs(?) in 2013 but I know I would have liked this performance a lot more if it was 3-4 full (or basically full) songs. It’s just hard for me to get into a performance that’s all over the place but that’s the standard with this now

It'd never happen but Florence & The Machine would be fuckin great

Man, I hope not. She’s a good singer/performer, but her music is bland as hell.

    I do not exist.

Sadly I'm really struggling to get into this.

I like Filthy, Midnight Summer Jam, Say Something but everything else is just blending together.

A massive shame as 20/20 pt 1 was excellent.

I'll keep listening and see if it grows on me but there's a few songs after the second track that were actually grating on me.

UK tour dates announced, with many more to come around these dates (at same venues probably) I imagine, given they're so spread out.

June 27 - Barclaycard Arena, Birmingham
    July 1 - Manchester Arena , Manchester
July 5 - SSE Hydro Arena, Glasgow
    July 9 - O2 Arena, London

i'm just gonna leave this here and say that this is legitimately better than the recorded version. full band makes it sound huge.

God I love this song. Even if I find the entire album underwhelming, at least it gave us a gem like this.

So now that I've listened a few times, this pretty much turned out how I expected. There's some moments I think are great (Filthy, Say Something, Midnight Summer Jam), some that I enjoy even though I understand why they get criticsm (Man of the Woods, Flannel), some fine to good songs (Morning Light, Montana, Breeze Off the Pond) and some genuinely bad (Sauce, Wave). Sauce might grow on me, but I truly don't know who ok'd Wave. One of the worst songs I've heard on a release this big. And why on earth did it need to be over 4 minutes? The end section is alright, but it just kind of drags on and sounds the same. (Edit: the end section of the album, not of Waves. Waves is all bad.)

Overall, I think it's a fine album. Probably not going to really stand out much this year honestly, but there's enough good that I wouldn't say I'm disappointed (I've never really been a full JT album guy). Kind of feel like a hypocrite for hating on the negative reviews now but whatever.

I agree with that, I think this is fine and I enjoy it. I definitely would rather it be like 45 or so mins but I don't think it's bad

I've done two listens where I wasn't intently listening and didn't hate anything

I find this to be, at best, pretty good, mostly pretty just there, but sometimes pretty awful.

I'm not really big into JT though so maybe my opinions will change eventually. Filthy is a jam

I've listened to this a lot over the past 4 days. In the end this is a pretty disappointing album considering it's from the guy who put out Future Sex & 20/20 part 1, but there's still some great tunes on here. Montana, Sauce, Say Something and Young Man will continue to be on rotation for me. Definitely prefer this over 20/20 part two.

Also I think if they just cut Waves, Living Off the Land and Hard Stuff from this album it would feel a little more tighter. Not saying they are god awful songs, but just save them for b-sides. Albums shouldn't be over 50 minutes imo.
