I can see them doing a few concerts at stadiums in major cities, but can't picture a full fledged tour. I don't think some of those guys still have the stamina to be dancing and singing for 2 hours a night 2 months straight.
This thing is somehow longer than any of his past albums, and some of those are truly endless. Going to be hard for me to tear myself away from the new Kacey to give this a full playthrough...
This album... is pretty enjoyable. Suffers from cheesiness at times (common for him of course), being overbloated and long... but there's plenty of good stuff here. Doesn't really hit his highest of highs, but it's nowhere near bad. Definitely more on the chill end of the spectrum and I would say overall relatively "safe." I think there is easily a 10-12 track album in here that would is very good.
On first listen this is very bland. Feels like a lesser/more streamlined version of stuff he's done before
I thought there was some pretty good stuff on here (the lyrics not being one of them, as expected) but it’s wayyyy too long. On my second listen I had to bail during Technicolor.
The first thing i said when i looked at Spotify is “this is way too long” and that seems to be consensus.
This at 18 tracks is roughly the same length as each 20/20 Experience is and those had fewer songs on them.
I like it, it's long, could be trimmed. Shoulda saved some stuff to go deluxe instead. But, from a song perspective, some good stuff here.
i think the issue is the 20/20 experience is an hour and 10 minutes of brilliance. this is an hour and 17 of some good, some blah. make its drag
Great Tiny Desk and they somehow managed to fit 15 people in there. SET LIST "Señorita" "Rock Your Body" "Pusher Love Girl" "Until The End Of Time" "Selfish" "What Goes Around" "SexyBack"
Just got through the first 6 songs. So far my only complaint is that Technicolor is 2 minutes too long, but still a good vibe.
Like others said - some good, some bad. That rap in “Memphis” is embarrassing. A lot of this feels like it could have been made by anyone, which is disappointing because Timberlake had a fairly unique sound.
