Something I've noticed about Justin's solo music that I don't enjoy is the differences between his verses and choruses sometimes. This is a great example of that. I loved the style of the verses in Firehawk, but I really disliked the chorus. They seem so disconnected.

He's done that a few times and I get why he does it, but it feels so forced and disjointed that it makes it hard for me to enjoy it.

Undone is still my favorite solo song of his followed by Into The Drink.

What a great surprise. I would not have expected this based on how he talked about the last EP and not being able to do a full album, plus with the MCS tour announced. Love the song. It’s a nice switch up from Anthropologist, and that distorted part at the end is a lot of fun. It’s also really cool that Sarah Tudzin mixed it.

makes sense because he had an entire albums worth of songs ready.

These EP’s feel like they are going to sound different versions of Justin’s styles and I think having they separate instead of on a record is probably fitting.

Really enjoy the kind of futuristic vibe (idk how else to explain it) to the two new ones

Might like this one even more than the last. Get Out of the Woods is maybe my favorite

Yeah, I definitely agree. It's been a while since I've listened to In the Drink all the way through, but I think this EP might be my favorite of Justin's solo ventures. Oxygen Tank has been stuck in my head the last few days.

I though he had mentioned in an interview that the original plan was to make a bunch of different sounding EP’s with a bunch of different people. I’m impressed that he’s been able to do it. First two EP’s are good and I can only expect the same from this one.

I think this is one of his best songs (and videos) and I'm not usually into this style of music. Very different for him and digging it a lot.

If I remember correctly, he wanted to do a bunch of different sounding recording sessions with various people and producers and then make them all into one album, but then COVID and some people suggested he split them up into EPs which he wasn't keen on at first.

I understand what his thought process was, but I actually like this release method more because it's a cool showcase of all his different styles and if I don't like one, I don't have to go back to it and if I do like one I get a while EP of it instead of just a few select tracks on a muddled album.

I think I’m gonna like the EP’s as separate items too. 5 songs each, slightly different but all styles Justin does. I’ll just mash them together in the end rolling from one EP to another, but I won’t be mixing the songs from EP’s. Glad it turned out this way instead of 1 album.
