I really like this. Happy we got a quick turnaround from Changes and that whole era.

 

Surprisingly enjoyed this. Don't really understand the MLK moments though.

Peaches is great, but I definitely prefer the tiny desk version more.

This is solid. As with all things Biebs, I find it pretty hit or miss, but it's definitely a step up from Changes.

 

This is ok overall, definitely hit or miss... still too many sappy "I love my wife" songs overall, but I agree it's better than Changes. I actually love the studio version of Peaches though, Daniel Caesar and Giveon absolutely ride that beat.

 

I couldn’t stand Changes but I actually might love this. Almost everything hits for me. Loved By You is right away my favorite song I’ve heard from him.

 

"Deserve You" bops pretty hard

 

Probably his most consistent release, outside of Journals imo

Purpose had insane highs but that back half is whoooof

 

Hey now, "All In It" is a BOP

 

I don't understand why people like Journals, nothing about it has ever grabbed me.

 

yeah but that's a bonus track, been you is one of the best on that too lol

 

The Gotye credit is likely because someone realized the chorus of "Hold On" is similar to "Somebody That I Used to Know"

 

I love me MLK as much as the next guy, but I'll probably leave out that interlude on most listens haha

 

Credits say that it interpolates that song so yeah lol

 

yeah, as much as I appreciate the sentiment its kind of weird coming from bieber

but his entire band is black which is awesome and putting his money where his mouth is, at least a little bit

 

that's new info to me, good for him.

i have to admit, i think over the last year or so he really seems to have put effort behind fixing his past mistakes. obviously we only see his public persona, but it really does feel like he has made steps to become a better person
