I'm definitely only going to watch this if I hear it's somehow genuinely really good or hilariously bad. If people say it's pretty good or okay I doubt I ever will

I’m hate watching it in hour long sections. Just like Snyder wanted us to at one point in time. I think.

Sod watching 4 hours of grey and brown in one sitting.

Any indication of whether this will be available anywhere in the UK?

I think it’s just gonna available as a digital purchase. Haven’t seen anything about it being on Sky or NowTV or anything like that.

I just re-watched Batman v. Superman: The Dawn of Justice the extended version to get ready for this. The longer version is definitely much improved. I still fundamentally disagree with a bunch of Snyder's major choices for these characters, but I do think it is a decent movie. I like it about as much as most of the MCU movies. The better MCU movies absolutely kick this movie's ass, but its as good as the mid-tier MCU stuff.

Watching it after reading a lot of the latest Zack Snyder interviews and press, it seems to me like the movie he wanted to make was a sequel to Man of Steel and the movie WB wanted him to make was one setting up Justice League, and he is (or was at the time) a director with enough clout to push back on the studio, and he still had the fight in him at that point in time. He basically made the movie he wanted to make and then filmed the Justice League setup stuff and just inserted it into the movie, hence the bloated runtime and unwieldy structure. I laughed out loud when Ben Affleck just sits down at a computer and starts clicking JUSTICE LEAGUE icons on the desktop. Woof.

After this movie, WB wanted Snyder gone, and it sounds like they really wanted Whedon, but I don't think Whedon's take on these characters and this world is any better.

I am unironically looking forward to seeing Snyder's version of Justice League. My prediction is that it is going to be decent. I think it will at least tell a coherent story while also catastrophically misunderstanding its major characters.

Snyder confirmed this film will end on a cliffhanger. Why? Who knows

This ending on a cliffhanger is really fucking dumb. Also, doesn't surprise me at all.

  16. Can someone explain this snyder cut to me? Is it just taking footage that was already shot and rearranging/adding things that were cut? Other than some new Leto stuff?

I would assume WB thinks Snyder will direct another DC property in the future and that’s why it ends on a cliffhanger

Apparently about 70% of the footage of the actual release was all shot by Weadon. A lot of what Snyder shot wasn’t used, which is why the infamous Snyder cut hashtag was used by fans to to try get his version of the film released. WB caved and now we have 4 hours of brown to look forward to. Some of which was shot specifically for this cut.

They both stink but tbh Whedon is a shitty person so I automatically hate his version. This will probably be bad but I’m rooting for it

It ends on a cliffhanger because there was supposed to be a part 2 originally

Ya I wouldn't be surprised if the cliffhanger is Darkseid showing up or something. Seems like that's what Snyder was originally setting up.

It ends right before we find out if Batman and Superman kiss.

You’d think he would’ve asked if he could just finish the story. May as well make it 6-8 hours long and shoot part 2 also. Why not. It’s not like this is actually “The Snyder Cut” anyway.

Real question though will we see "Martha!" part 2?
