Tbf to the Snyder fanboys, they have used their insane fanboyism to at least raise money for a good cause

While I agree with that sentiment, and as much as I dislike a lot of Snyder's vision for JL, and the DC characters, I do feel that this is a little bit of a different scenario. The guy worked on it for a long time, and put a lot of himself into it. He stepped away because of family tragedy and I want him to be able to release, in whatever capacity, what he wanted to do with it.

This is all so weird. Like, that’s obviously just a raw, like, assembly cut or whatever, w/ a bunch of green screen & storyboards, right? Like, who other than the people who fondly remember working on set & a handful of super fans would enjoy watching over 3 hrs of raw footage?

I dunno. If I were WB, I’d give Snyder permission to launch a crowdfunding campaign to make a watchable version of his intended film. Give this rabid fan base one chance to put their money where their mouth is. If it works, no inconvenience on their part; if not, they can say they tried.

I think someone implied it was an assembly cut and Snyder replied saying the assembly cut was
close to 5 hours long and this was not that.

  5. And supposedly a lot of the VFX are already done? I haven't read too much into it, but ScreenRant probably has like 50 articles about what's actually in the cut.

I don't really have a strong attachment to the Justice League characters, or even to Zack Snyder as a filmmaker, but I would like to see a version of this movie that was not a weird bastardized hybrid of two extremely different sensibilities smashed together into an ungodly mess through the sheer force of pre-selected release dates.

In an ideal world, I would have liked to have seen a Justice League movie written and directed by Joss Whedon from the get-go much more than a Zack Snyder helmed sequel to BvS:TDoJ, but I would definitely have preferred to have seen whatever the hell Zack Snyder had been working on the whole time brought to its conclusion rather than the utter pile of complete incoherent shit that we ultimately got.

I also do not believe the official version of the story of how Zack Snyder left the production and how Joss Whedon was brought in, but really none of that bullshit matters in the face of the utterly devastating personal tragedy the entire thing revolves around.

Wow, sounds like Suicide Squad was supposed to more overtly tie into the Justice League story as started in the Batman v Superman director’s cut.

I hate Snyder as a storyteller, but more & more I wish his nonsense epic had come to fruition. We would’ve suffered through essentially just as many films, maybe one more, before getting into the more enjoyable modern era of DC films, but at least we’d have this weird complete saga to look back on.

  13. Snyder Cut fandom is one of the worst. Would be interesting to see the cut, though.

Just put something out & call it the “Snyder Cut,” even if it’s filled w/ green screen, storyboards, etc., lol. If there’s something that resembles an actual movie, cool, but if not, whatever.

Just get the dang thing over with so we can all move on w/ our lives.

I really want to like a Snyder cut but deep down I feel like it won’t change my opinion much on the film.

  16. I can't imagine it being that much better or worse, in terms of quality.

Sadly, I’ve already seen the Snyder Cut of Watchmen, Man of Steel, and Batman v Superman. As a result, I will not be subjecting myself to the Snyder Cut of Justice League, should it come to light.

Haven't seen the directors cuts of Watchmen or MoS but BvS was terrible.

i'm safely assuming the ulimate edition of bvs isn't worth trudging through a three-hour film for a moderate upgrade from the theatrical piece of dogshit

Definitely not. Tbh I never saw the theatrical version because I heard it was so bad. If it was worse than the ultimate edition, I have zero desire to visit that one lol
