Not holding hope that we'll ever see it, but man that would be fantastic.

It'd be a completely different film. I'd guess out of the 2 hours this film is, 45 minutes is probably Whedon.

I read somewhere that almost every superman scene was from reshoots. This was originally suppose to be 2 films shot back to back which set up Darkseid for part 2 and who knows if Superman even would have come back so soon if at all in this movie. I feel like this was changed way more than what they think.

That being said, it doesn't feel like quite the mess it could have. Whedon did a great job.

I'm assuming they bring Superman back -- the JL members and him fight -- and Superman bolts until the second movie.

What's weird is not all of the Lois/Clark stuff at the Kent Farm looks wonky. His face looks normal in the trailer clip... but in the movie he's a monster in that scene. Who knows. The more I think and discuss the movie, the less I like.

I liked BvS and MOS so I wish they would have just went with Snyder's movie and dealt with the results and moved on after it's release.

This was amazing. The Flash’s face was incredible lol.

Surprised how much I enjoyed this. It was a ton of fun.

  8. The theatrical version was going to include the "lighter" reshoots even if Snyder saw it through, right?

    That wasn't only Whedon's doing.

Finally saw it. Was expecting to like flash as I tend to love that type of character but yea only a handful of the lines hit for me. Not that anybody's wrong for liking him whatsoever but I’m surprised by so many people saying things like he stole every scene he was in. I loved his personality in general but didn’t like the dialogue. I wonder if they wrote his lines or if he improvised some. but yeah I loved when him and supes met eyes and “god I hope this is east”.

I liked it but it wasn’t as much fun as I was hoping. The comedy was half and half. A few rolling my eyes moments. The action didnt wow me. The best action all revolved around wonder woman for me. Maybe I’m blind or just not keen to this kind of stuff but I really didn’t notice the mustache cgi. The opening scene yea but it didn’t take me out as much as I thought and the scene wasn’t anything important. Didn’t even look for/notice the rest of the movie.

Overall I liked it. I thought it was still a little choppy but still more cohesive and had a flow than the other DCU movies but the main thing is that it still didn’t have much emotional weight for me. I liked each character, and there were actual moments that actually made me connected to the characters (which this universe hasnt done for me personally), but all the storylines with every single character felt just half baked, which sucks because all of them were good premises, but they just weren't all given time to fully develop enough.

Once again I just think the direction of bringing them together so fast without movies to develop their characters and personalities creates a domino effect of having to force too many subplots together and thereby adulterating ALL the storylines.

To me, only Wonder Woman felt like an old character. Cyborg, Aquaman, and Flash were all new and Superman and Batman almost seemed like new characters personality wise.

It sucks because I love all the designs and the actors in there roles, especially Wonder Woman, but at this point just with how everything has panned out anything going forward in this universe, including the post credit scenes doesn’t excite me. Probably unpopular opinion but i hope they just go away from the justice league aspect and having multiple characters in movies. Do solo stuff with these characters for awhile make good stories that don’t need enormous budgets, then if those are doing well come back and bring them together.

Idk how that works since they already are together but just what I’d like to see.

Saw it today and loved it. My theater was packed too, but I can’t wait to see where they take all these characters

Decline for the film wasn't as bad as I expected. I thought that Coco was going to mess this one up pretty bad. $309 million in foreign markets and $481 worldwide.

If Affleck gets replaced in the DCEU, I think Jon Hamm is a good fit if they’re trying to match the age.

Yeah I was rooting for Hamm when they were first casting for this series but I actually really like Affleck in the role. I haven't seen JL yet though

They could cast Hamm if they want as few people to notice that they changed the actor as possible.

There’s no doubt that Snyder’s abrupt absence hurt this movie. It would have been a better movie if Snyder got to finish it or if Whedon got to re-do the whole thing. I think there’s enough of Snyder’s work in this movie and in previous movies to argue that his style is just not quite clicking with audiences and critics. Patty propelled the Wonder Woman character to the top of the DCEU in just one film. She needs to be a driving force for future DCEU films.

  19. I think a lot of fans like those movies more than people wanna admit. They did better than JL did.

I loved the tone of BvS and MoS. I think the biggest issue is Snyder's issue, narrative. Add that to studio meddling, and we get the chopped up versions of films we've been getting. It's almost like WB gave an excited kid a steering wheel, but didn't think to help him learn along the way. The difference between theatrical BvS and ultimate BvS still astounds me.

Read Zack Snyder’s version and all deleted scenes of Justice League

I wouldn't normally take this kinda crap seriously, especially with the pro-Snyder editorializing. However, Kevin Smith read this during a Fatmen On Batman show, and someone in the audience who had said at a previous show that she had seen an early test screening was back and nodded in agreement to the things that she had personally seen, which was most of it. (I think there were only one or two things that had been cut by the time she saw an early test.)

I do wonder if we'll get a Snyder cut someday, even if it's years from now. After all, we did eventually get the Richard Donner cut of Superman 2. In the same way that Donner had to use pieces of his replacement's work to recreate more or less his original vision, Snyder would probably have to use some Whedon material, but I've gotta believe that it's possible. I guess the two main differences between then and now are that Donner's movies were beloved while Snyder's are more, um, polarizing, and also completing a Snyder version would probably require more additional special effects work than would be worth it for the studio. If enough vocal curiosity persists long enough, though, a new cut that at least resembles Snyder's vision more than Whedon's/the studio's (if still missing some pieces) can't be out of the question. Maybe in an anniversary box set of some sort with Man of Steel and the extended BvS?
