It's a cool shot, but utterly pointless in nearly every way. It's a very obvious trailer shot.

Unfortunately, I think this beats Homecoming by a hair for my least favorite live action comic book superhero film of 2017, though that can still change with time.

Still, it's wild that I enjoyed my 2 least favs so much, and that there were 4 top-tier films this year. What a spectacular year for comic book films.

I might be in the minority because I actually thought this movie was fun. It wasn't great by any means - but I brought my stepson and the wife to it last night and we enjoyed it.

I haven't gone through the thread. I was seeing it based on my circle of friends and a few "reviews" here and there.

The opening scene with Batman fighting the parademons followed by Bruce with a beard searching for Aquaman is strange. I’m hoping it was an intentional decision to state that a certain amount of weeks/months have passed.

The first shot of Batman in this has been in my mind since I saw it. So haunting and well captured.

Batman's face/reaction to Superman arriving at the final fight has been on my mind since I saw it.

My eye was drawn to the background of the Gotham skyline. Felt like the animated series.

I like how you can tell he's starting to realize things aren't going to end well right before that.

That scene felt very Snyder like to me, interesting.

That scene 100% felt like a Whedon comedy scene.

It just wasn't funny. Most of the jokes in the film weren't.

The exceptions for me were the lasso scene and the scene with Supes and the building. That was probably my favorite thing in the film.

Huh, I really had no inkling that scene was a Wheadon one. I figured the handheld Supes was.

The biggest problem with the joke me is that I think literally every single Flash joke was in a trailer.

I still liked them in the movie, but would have been nice to not know all of them before seeing the movie.

Funniest/best part of the film for me was Superman looking angry at the flash as he was trying to run past him.

Flash had too much humor. Everything he said didn't need to be a joke. But I loved when he said he's afraid of obnoxiously tall people, and after Steppnwolf vaults off the nightcrawler Batman goes, "jesus, he is tall."

All the best scenes of the film in general were every moment that Henry Cavill was finally playing Superman instead of Moody Punch Guy.

My favorite part of the movie was when Aquaman chugged that bottle of whiskey and then smashed it on the pier. I mean, here's Aquaman, champion of the oceans. He speaks to fishes for God's sake! And here he is littering in the ocean. I bet a shark died because of those shards of glass Aquaman!

I'm pretty sure he litters one other time. I know it's silly but I was like -- dude, seriously?
