Taken from John Campea's review: "Despite all of those, when you spent most of your time in the theater with your heroes on screen, and your heroes are the strongest parts of the film, both as individual characters, and their dynamics and chemistry with each other....all that good stuff outweighs those negative." Those negatives being some pacing, narrative, villain issues. I enjoy that sentiment a lot. We are here for the league aren't we? Not saying we should be docked villains, but the League seems to what is most important to me. Anyway, no more hopeful posting until I see this later tonight.
I don’t let RT determine movies for me, but it’s fun for me to keep up and see reactions on Reddit when RT scores are revealed.
yeah i was pointing at the general public, not anyone in here. i don't think the average person has a full grasp on what a rt rating means and how it is determined
The big publication reviews are mainly the ones writing harshly on it. Variety's stood out to me on that front. I'm actually pretty happy on how it's been thus far. Most of the YouTube comic dudes i've seen have been loving it.
Mixed to positive seems to the headline they were looking for, if they wanted to go off of the reviews thus far, that is.
Vanity Fair hated it. Found it kind of insulting that they mentioned poor Gal Gadot having to film after Wonder Woman. Wonder Woman was great, but I mean like, cmon. WW isn't untouchable either. Want to talk about bad villains, and how superhero films can still have worth with it?
lol this dude is getting absolutely roasted on Twitter by Set Rogan, James Gunn and others about the following tweet
Idk enough about VFX and their relations to the director to know if the roasting is warranted. Do you? EDIT: Not being rude, just curious.
I am so skeptical of that haha But I’d love to be proven wrong. I really don’t want to hate DC movies anymore.
