you would have really thought the cut that went to theaters didn't make sense then lol. The original version didn't have any of Clark investigating Batman so he was pretty much not in the movie, all the Africa stuff was cut so you never really got the sense of what happened over there or why everyone was so mad at Superman, as well as making Lex's plan making even less sense then it does in the UC.
I do plan on re-watching MoS and watched the extended BvS right before I see JL for the first time, 'cause I hate myself and wanna dive headlong into trashy madness, lol. As much as I hate Snyder, I don't think I'll be able to resist seeing JL, so might as well attempt to consume it as one big hot mess so that I have more ammunition for ripping into his sad excuse for a creative vision. After all, 'tis the nerd way.
The desert dream sequence is one of my favorites in BvS, but upon re-watches you realize that one-take fight scene with Batman is poorly executed. One of my guesses as to why they left the Steppenwolf scene out is that maybe they're changing his look in JL and didn't want it to be confusing.
BVS gets so much hate, and when I first saw it a year ago I hated it too.....but after rewatching it recently it really isnt THAT bad.
It's a cool idea but when you watch it again, it's so clearly staged where people are waiting for someone to do their move before they execute theirs.
yeah I remember recognizing that, but at the same time didn't really bug me because it's a dream sequence and it just felt like a batman comic or arkham game, all the fighting felt that way.
The first time I saw BvS, I didn't notice it but I have every time since. I gave The Dark Knight Rises so much crap about doing the same thing, so I'd be a hypocrite if I said it wasn't a flaw that shouldn't have been overlooked. For as much work that goes into these movies, how did that not get caught?
Like -- I know it's a movie and that's how it's done -- but it bugs me in both BvS and DKR. Has anyone read the supposed Justice League info some dude on Reddit posted? He's somehow in the know and revealed major plot points. I usually don't believe this stuff but he apparently did the same for BvS and they were right. The Superman info is... well, it's something.
Yeah, it bugs me too. So many eyes are on those films, its strange that no one caught it before it went out. And no, if anyone posts about it in here please spoiler it! I think I would have enjoyed BvS 10x more if I hadn't know pretty much all the plot points before seeing it.
I never understood why reshoots are such a dirty word lately and people always assume trouble. Almost every blockbuster gets them now days, which makes sense if you have the budget and get into the editing room and realize you need more of certain scenes. I think it was Kevin Feige who said that they schedule out time for reshoots in the production for every movie, I'm sure WB does the same.
Many times it is obvious where the reshoots are in the film. Suicide Squad and FF are pretty big examples in recent memory. There are just some clear examples where the core of the film is changed in reshoots and it ruins the initial vision. They should not be considered a bad thing, but when films are bungled in post, people will notice and make a big stink.
agreed, movie was pretty atrocious. when you make the other Fantastic Four better, you've made a horrible movie.
Maybe reshoots are the problem. 'Logan' Star Hugh Jackman Posts Video From Last Day of Reshoots *ducks*
It'd be easier to pinpoint what I liked about F4 (couple character moments and Doom's rampage spree) than what was wrong, because there are a LOT of problems with that movie.
I'm going to photoshop your face onto George Bush's when he had shoes thrown at him JK I can't even figure out MS Paint, much less photoshop.
