Yeah. I easily blew most of what I earned working my first job on anime DVDs because it was the first time I ever had money and because I was in high school so saving money was a foreign concept to me lol.

I'd say just look at what's on whatever streaming service you have and check out what sounds interesting. Or we could rec all the classic series everyone always rec's.

 

Thats the weird thing, i'm not like the biggest person on stories in the RPGs I play. I am much more about gameplay mechanics and battle systems and stuff. Hmmmmm... idk im weird

I've seen most of death note and some of attack on titan and thought they were both bad ass

 

i had a good thing going where i bought all the manga and my sister bought all the anime, i came out ahead there

spend so much money, yet still read/watched so many shitty fansubs/scans

I've never seen an anime

 

Yeah, it can still be expensive, but not like it was when we were younger, so I call that a progress. Still, some series are stupid expensive despite me wanting to buy them. I'd buy all the blurays of March Comes in Like a Lion if only Rightstuff didn't have some exclusive rights to it and charge fucking $110ish per like 6 episodes for a 44-episode series.

If it's streaming I try not to buy it. But my brain isn't always successful in preventing me clicking that buy now button on amazon.

Death Note, My Hero Academia, and Attack On Titan are pretty common starter ones and all are pretty good. MHA I'd say is the best of those 3.

This is tangential but I've been watching DBZ and I have the first couple seasons of Kai and then everything else is the orange brick sets of the original series. But there are a couple episodes missing between them so for thosei went on YouTube and watched the corresponding eps of DBZ Abridged
