Kaitie steals a set of triplets in a dramatic, partially stop-motion heist. She takes them from Denton and raises them in Boulder with Dulam, an aspiring failed musician and mid-level government bureaucrat. The story picks up 20 years later, as the triplets navigate the beginnings of adulthood while dealing with suppressed emotions and trauma from childhood.
