I feel like parts of very northern or southern Japan are vastly underrated for tourism so it's amazing to me that Japan has invented a way to advertise these lesser known places and it's ----cute mascots. Like you would think Kumamon was an anime character but no they just make millions of dollars putting his face on things to advertise Kumamoto prefecture ahhaha.
