I think madden is a *good* sports game but it still has problems that really bug me

For starters, it definitely overexaggerates momentum. Game gets way harder when you make one or two mistakes.

And the way that it increases the difficulty is lame too. Instead of just having fewer receivers open or better defense or whatever, what happens is fucking ridiculous, fake ass interceptions and fumbles keep happening and it makes your players dumb so they don’t do anything.

So you can get good at that game and win a lot and then suddenly start having games where the AI on your team is horrible and the AI on the other team is amazing and that gets annoying sometimes haha

That doesn’t change the fact that a game with more elements to it is more of a challenge and more stimulation to hold my attention.

 

100 percent. Burnout Paradise also gets old very fast but I’ll beat any of y’all in Gran Turismo haha

The part that you’re not getting is, even though Burnout is simpler, concepts in racing video games are generally the same. So getting good at GT actually makes me better at most arcade style racing games too.

THPS 2, THPS 3, and THUG are objectively better than Skate, like that isn't up for discussion. And I'd honestly also take THPS 1, THPS 4, and THUG 2 over Skate as well.

Skate 2 and Skate 3 > any of the THPS but only by a little. I do like THPS2, 3, and THUG2 quite a lot.

I’m just weird haha. Realistic games = fun for me just like detailed music = feeling for me. Idk why maybe it’s an ADD thing but the more exciting details something has the more it tends to draw me in
