Someone broke into my car last night....again. This time I had a bunch of calls from my roommate and apparently the police were there and they tried calling me too. Of course the one time I go to bed at a decent hour.

 

Wtf is the culture in Cali that breaking into cars is normal? Did they take anything?

There are hella junkies in Long Beach and I had to park it in the not so greatest place last night to avoid street sweeping. Literally the only thing to take were my CDs and it looks like they took those. Which is hilarious cause they’ll get all of ten cents for them

Things happen of course, but my sister has had it happen to her multiple times in San Fran, smashed window and all. It's definitely a thing that happens a lot over there, if you leave anything showing in the car people try to break in. I've never had to think twice about hiding everything in my car where I live, but when I'm in Cali everyone is always stressing it.

When my car was broken into both times it was the same window (backseat passenger), so I’m sure whoever did it had a routine of the process. First time they didn’t take anything, just rummaged through my glove box. Second time stole a case of Gatorade lol

Personally, I’ve never had it happen to me but it is a problem in big cities. I have seen a smashed in window walking back to my car from nearly every concert in SF. Again, SF also has a fuck ton of junkies. Nobody in their right mind would steal like 5 CDs
