it sounds like your typical rap concert sadly :( they hate doing long sets

 

I guess it's my first rap show!! But I don't even mind short sets honestly and like hey at least I only had to go like 15 min for this show instead of the usual 3 hours!!

 

a lot of rap community is known for showing up late to sets and also performing short sets so it’s like eh. rappers with deeper catalogues I would love some longer sets because no short songs.

Built to Spill covered REM & they were the perfect band to do it

They also played a brand new song

They played the album out of order and mixed in other songs, and teased us until the end of the set to play “The Plan” and held off on “Carry the Zero” until the end of the encore. Honestly that was different and I was excited by the surprises.

“Broken Chairs” solo was excellent, “You Were Wrong” was a perfect opener. I can’t say enough it was just fantastic.

It was actually fairly on time! 50 cent was like five minutes late and post was like 10 min late.


Also I got pulled over on the way home because I was driving my friends car and I thought I had turned the headlights on but I had it on the wrong setting. Anyway, my friend keeps saying we were soooo lucky he was nice to us and didn't bust me for a DUI and that it wasn't worse and I'm like OKAY no sis!! This wasn't luck it's us making responsible choices lol like I stopped drinking early on in the night so I could drive us home and I would never drive drunk or tipsy because I'd get fired from my job and it would like ruin my life and I'm a responsible person with decent impulse control. Like we made a series of responsible choices which is why we didn't get pulled over for a DUI. Like maaaaybe we'd be "lucky" if I had been driving drunk and he let us off but I wasn't?? Idk this is my rambling way of saying I feel like ppl give gratitude to the universe instead of giving themselves credit.

lmao you are me with drinking. I always set my limit for 3 drinks and my friends always complain but like I’m trying to make sure I stay out of any trouble and also make decent choices.
