I wish more shows had nice 3 season runs and then end on their own terms. I don’t like shows getting cancelled prematurely but I also don’t want to start a show that has 100+ episodes

I kinda wish more shows had like 3 seasons and got abruptly cancelled so I could feel nostalgic for what could have been instead of watching the showrunners either run the show into the ground or wrap things up way too quickly

But also I want writers to keep their jobs so nvm

My philosophy is that every good show should be allowed to go as long as the creator plans for and not one episode shorter/longer. Too many shows get cancelled before their creators are finished (HANNIBAL).

And I really respect those creators who know when to call it quits.

Uh, the first 5 or 6 seasons are pretty much flawless. It's witty, intelligent, thoughtful, literally everything you could want in a sitcom.

 

needing an emptional connection to a sitcom is not for me
