The plots may be slightly more ridiculous and cringy but the last two seasons have far more character development. Plus, James Spader is great. I cannot fathom how he isn't a beloved character.

Ben/Leslie > Jake/Amy > Chidi shirtless > Elanor/Chidi > Jim and Pam

 

Nellie Bertram is probably the worst character of any show I've ever seen.

I never watched past the first couple episodes of season 2 of Parks & Rec, so I can't really give an informed opinion about it, but that said Jake and Amy are definitely better than Ben and Leslie.

I agree with Anthony that season 8 is exactly as bad as people act it is and 9 was a decent rebound towards being good

But still think neither are as good as old The Office (although old seasons have aged terribly)

For what they were intending, it's incredibly successful. My thing is though like, why is that enjoyable? Like yeah Michael is an incredibly perfect portrayal of that kind of boss and I don't get why that's a good thing haha.
