What was the name of the road the crime happened on? I must have missed it they didn't say it enough times in the script.
This was pretty good even with some poor writing. Like how bad is that ME that he didn’t realize she was hit by a car. I also think they pick the foreperson before the trial starts. But those are just nit-picky things.
There are some groan-inducing lines and shots, particularly when it zooms in on In God We Trust as the prosecutor has a moral dilemma, but this was overall very good. A film for adults in an era that sees so few of them.
The way they talked about gangs in that one scene was so cringey it took me out for a second but otherwise I thought this kinda rocked
Him dropping the papers for JK Simmons to get caught was some of the goofiest shit I have ever seen. Otherwise pretty good. Wish there was more to Zoey Deutch’s character. She just doesn’t care AT ALL her husband accidentally killed someone???
Idk. Felt like it was slightly alluded to when she kept asking him which way he took home cause it’s the TRUTH and then he says don’t worry he’s going to keep the family safe or whatever.
I really liked this though I didn't quite understand why the prosecutor showed up at his house in the end.
Honestly the more I think about it the more this sucked. She googled “Nicolas hoults wife and husband” and she freakin got results like wtf
The google thing is admittedly kinda silly but if your main takeaway from the movie is that it sucks for that reason you’re not engaging with it seriously ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
