2nd biggest worldwide opening for the franchise behind Jurassic World in 2015 Jurassic World Rebirth Heads To $312.5M Global Opening at Box Office
Seated. The wife and my oldest in attendance. First movie theater experience I’ve seen with my son. Stoked
This was throughly OK. I probably would feel better if the 3rd act was better, probably the weakest part. Boat stuff was the highlight. I like how JUNGLE-Y the middle was. Looked good in general, as Gareth does. D-Rex is a dud. Dad character was boring; that family aspect could have tugged heart strings with better casting/writing/anything. points for no Pratt and no locusts
the guys at work had on The Lost World today, and I caught a few parts going in and out of the day room - miles ahead of any of the 3 Jurassic World movies. it's not even close. Spielberg on his absolute worst day directs circles around any of the other filmmakers from the franchise.
That whole mosasaurus and spinosaurus section was great. Also loved the D Rex appearing through the smoke with the helicopter in its mouth. Gareth core
I know. I didn’t know Grim was going to actually think I wanted him to stop posting his thoughts then I felt bad. And it was a nod to the Superman thread that got weird quick lol
I had a fun time with this. Could have done without the family and I'm disappointed the raft scene wasn't longer but I pretty much got what I wanted out of it
last time I went to the movies there was a disclaimer / warning up on screen saying that there were going to be 25-30 minutes of ads & previews
6:32 is when the Odyssey trailer ended lol. Just insane! And we had a GMC commercial in the middle of the trailers narrated by freakin will arnett
This was ok overall. Some things I liked and some I really hated. Mosasaur, Trex, and flying guy dinosaur attacks were all great. Scientist character was good. Would like to see him come back. ScarJo was ok and I think I would have hated Duncan if it was anyone but Ali. Manual Garcia-Rulfo is my guy tho! Scientist guy interacting with the long necks is the closest I’ve felt to a sense of “awe” in any of the world movies, but still pretty far off. The Drex was just bad bad bad. Embarrassing stuff. They need to stop with the hybrids/mutants or go back to something “plausible” like the first World movie. Dolores was bad but toys I guess. Corporate guy as villain was bad. seems like a step in the right direction although no idea where they go next
Also lmaoooo at the snickers wrapper bringing the entire facility to a halt. Best/worst product placement ever
