I think this is where I'm at, but I've never actually finished watching Fallen Kingdom, and people seem to like it out of the newer ones

 

Fallen Kingdom has a scene where a velociraptor sees a gas leak, understands the significance of the leak, and bails out of a window like an 80s action star.

 

Ain’t no way people prefer JP3 over Jurassic world. JP3 shamed the t rex

 

But does JW have a velociraptor saying, “Allan?”

 

Jurassic Park 3 is a decent b-movie. Jurassic World is shameless. It's just a series of commercials for cars and Margaritaville and Coca-Cola and then that dumb dinosaur Avengers team up at the end

 

I think Joe Johnston did the best he possibly could in some tough circumstances whereas Colin Trevorrow is a talentless turd hack who somehow stumbled into a tremendous opportunity and whiffed so fucking hard

 

It also has Jimmy Fallon

 

I have never met anyone who likes Jimmy Fallon, but they must be out there somewhere.

Fun fact, the fight was apparently supposed to be longer but they misjudged how powerful the newer Spinosaurus animatronic was and it destroyed the T-Rex animatronic beyond repair.

Also apparently the battle happened because paleontologist Jack Horner wanted to prove Spinosaurs were the real predators not realizing no one sees a Jurassic Park film for scientific accuracy.

Not one good JP sequel. JW entertained me in theaters at the time but I wouldn’t rewatch now. My dislike of Pratt only grows.

 

I need to watch Fallen Kingdom again

 

Whether or not this is good, I’m looking forward to consuming an entire box of sweet/salty popcorn

 

Sweet?

 

Two scoops of sweetened popcorn and two scoops of salty popcorn. It’s not caramel. It’s some sort of light glaze

I used to work with a little Nepalese girl who would watch Jimmy Fallon on her lunch break and cry laughing. She was such a sweet person It made me dislike Jimmy Fallon less. Whenever I read his name now its in her accent like she used to say every lunch

wtf I loved most of this. Certainly more of a Lost World/JP3 feel than any of Jurassic World films.

The scale, the water scenes and there are a lot, and the overall look of the film is what has been missing from the franchise. There’s also a scene that brings in the wonder of dinos, which I haven’t felt since the first film. Basically, Gareth was a fabulous choice.

Some scenes could have been cut down and the baby dino should have been left in notes, but everything else was exactly what I wanted.

I’ll probably take my wife, her kid, and her boyfriend to see this. I just hope the three of them don’t ignore me like last time. Fuck Cars 3
